These platforms are supported and have the most current version of NcFTPd available for download.

  • FreeBSD/x86_64 (64-bit) versions 6.x and 7.x
  • HP-UX 11
  • Linux/x86 (32-bit) (Kernel versions 2.4/2.6; GNU Libc versions 2.3+)
  • Linux/x86_64 (64-bit) (Kernel 2.6; GNU Libc 2.3+)
  • Mac OS X 10.5
  • OpenBSD/x86 (32-bit) version 4.x
  • OpenBSD/x86_64 (64-bit) version 4.x
  • Solaris/Sparc (32-bit and 64-bit) versions 8, 9, and 10
  • Solaris/x86 (32-bit) 10
  • Solaris/x86_64 (64-bit) version 10

Discontinued Platform Support

Support for these platforms has been placed in the "end of life" stage, which means that NcFTPd versions are still available at the FTP site, but may not be the most current version. We encourage you to upgrade your operating system to a more current release, since eventually NcFTPd will not be updated for these platforms.

Not Planned

The following systems are either missing too much functionality, or not widespread enough to make a port worthwhile.
